During Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions’ Social Day, employees swap their usual workplaces for a day and lend a hand with social and charitable projects in the region. On 18 September 2026, 30 employees volunteered for four projects, demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility and their connection to the local community.
A wide range of community initiatives
Employees supported the Reinach Nature and Bird Conservation Group, the Tüllingen Kindergarten in Lörrach, the Fröbel Kindergarten in Steinen and the Clara Grunwald School in Freiburg. They maintained outdoor areas, carried out renovation work, and designed play and recess areas. In doing so, they supported efforts that are often difficult for these institutions to carry out on their own in their day-to-day operations.
Taking responsibility together
“Our Social Day shows how much can be accomplished when people work together. This commitment aligns with our philosophy of taking responsibility not only within the company but also in society,” says Dr Rolf Birkhofer, Managing Director of Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions. The Social Day also brings people together within the company: Employees from different departments work together on specific tasks outside their usual work environment.
